Applicants should have successfully defended their dissertation proposal by the time of their submission. Eligible applicants are doctoral candidates at the University of Texas at Austin.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International research organizations to conduct studies on pedestrian fatalities in the United States. Funding is intended for research studies determining the factors going into these fatal accidents in an effort to reduce pedestrian fatalities nationwide.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International research organizations to identify road infrastructure improvements that will contribute to enhanced transportation safety. Funding is intended to identify which improvements are cost-effective and have the biggest benefit in terms of preserving human life.

Grants of up to $6,000 to Maryland nonprofit organizations for arts-related projects that benefit residents in eligible locations. New applicants must meet with program staff before applying. Funding is intended to support single-time or annually occurring creative activities involving an artistic product or process. Grants may support initiatives such as exhibits, concerts, theatrical productions, art classes and workshops, cultural festivals, and art publications. Eligible organizations are located in Howard County.

In-kind grants of sports equipment to North Dakota nonprofit organizations, community-based groups, and schools to benefit youth in eligible locations. The program seeks to transform a passion for the game of baseball into positive change and support for communities. The program's goal is to use baseball to enrich the quality of life for children and families. Applications are accepted from baseball organizations within the Bismarck community.

Grants to Minnesota nonprofit and Tribal institutions of higher education to address housing and food insecurity among students. Funding is intended to provide low-income students with their transportation, housing, and nutritional needs. Eligible institutions must demonstrate that they have a significant homeless population.

Grants of up to $10,000 to Illinois local education agencies to provide school meals for students. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to finalize. Funding is intended to establish, expand, or maintain a breakfast program, and improve the nutritional standards and quality of breakfast food served.

Grants to Illinois nonprofit organizations, agencies, educational institutions, and media outlets in eligible regions to increase the capacity of news outlets. Priorities include sustainability and audience engagement and growth. Applicants must be located within and/or primarily serving residents of Chicago and/or nearby suburbs within Cook County.

Grants to Massachusetts individuals, nonprofit organizations, and for-profit entities for public arts and cultural projects in eligible locations. Funding is intended for free creative events and programs, including theater productions, night markets, community gatherings and celebrations, film screenings, and festivals. Priority is given to projects in communities that have been impacted by long-standing systemic inequities. Priority will be given to activations that occur or include the following neighborhoods: Mattapan, Roxbury, Dorchester, Hyde Park, East Boston, and Chinatown.

Grants to Indiana nonprofit organizations for projects, programs, and services that benefit eligible communities. First-time applicants must contact program staff and all applicants must submit a letter of inquiry prior to applying. Funding is intended to assist organizations that benefit residents of Howard, Clinton, or Carroll counties.

Grants to New York eligible clinicians to help repay educational loans. Funding is intended to encourage licensed clinicians to work in underserved areas. Clinicians working at approved sites may receive financial incentives in return for a contract period of eligible employment.

Grants of up to $2,000 to Central Florida nonprofit organizations and schools for programs that promote health and physical fitness in eligible counties. Special emphasis is placed on promoting and encouraging health and fitness for youth. Preference will be given to ongoing programs over one-time initiatives, events, and fundraisers. Eligible counties include Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Brevard, and Volusia.

Grants of up to $15,000 and grants of up to $35,000 to Ontario registered charities for programs to benefit the community in eligible regions. Eligible organizations align themselves with one of the following areas of interest: the arts, the environment, recreation, health and human services, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and education. Funding is intended to improve the quality of life for residents of the City of Hamilton.

Grants to New York City nonprofit organizations for publicly accessible arts and cultural activities. Funding is intended for programs and projects that provide high-quality cultural activities that are available and open to the public. Services eligible for funding will have a common commitment to public service and participation. Proposals are accepted in every cultural discipline, and from every area of New York City, for services that take place within the five boroughs

Grant to Oregon organizations, individuals, firms, teams, and consultants to improve the effectiveness and capabilities of community organizations addressing climate change in eligible areas. Funding is intended to address budget constraints, organizational management, staffing, technology, and reporting. The priority population for this grant includes, but is not limited to, groups that have been historically under-resourced by sustainability, climate action, and clean energy programs. These groups include, but are not limited to, people with low incomes, people of color, and people with disabilities. All work must benefit the residents of the City of Portland.

Grants to Louisiana, Kentucky, and Indiana nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and public school districts in eligible areas to benefit local residents. Funding is intended to address a wide variety of community needs, with priority given to the areas of social/human services and education. Eligible applicants serve Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes in Louisiana and the greater Louisville region which is made up of the following counties Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble counties in Kentucky and Clark, Floyd, Harrison, and Washington counties in Indiana.

Subsidies to Maryland nonprofit arts organizations in eligible locations to offset theater rental costs. Certain applicants must contact staff before applying. Funding is intended to help arts groups cover theater rental fees. The program aims to maximize the use of the theater by local arts organizations while improving its affordability. Grantees must use the Jim Rouse Theatre for the Performing Arts on the campus of Wilde Lake High School in Columbia. Requests will be accepted from arts nonprofits in Howard County.

Grants of $20,000 and in-kind support to Alberta and British Columbia Asian novice producers and filmmakers to produce a short video piece. Funding is intended for a 20-45-minute series pilot, scripted film, or documentary portraying Asian heritage within the filmmaker's community. Eligible genres include drama, action, suspense, sci-fi, western, comedy, romance, fantasy, horror, and musicals.

Grants of up to $10,000 to Alberta registered nonprofit societies, collectives, and individuals in eligible regions to support preparatory activities for projects related to local heritage. Funding is intended to assist with the planning and research phase that lays the groundwork for a larger project. The aim of the program is to foster a cultural connection between residents, communities, and places; support participation in cultural experiences; and enable the creation of artistic and heritage work. Requests will be accepted from applicants located in or working in Edmonton.

Opportunity for a Canada artist or art collective to create an outdoor art piece to be displayed in an eligible location in Alberta. The purpose of the project is to enhance the wall of a local park to help attract residents and visitors to the area. The selected art piece will be a mosaic embedded in a bouldering wall in the community of Erin Ridge North’s newest park, Element Park.
